Osteoporosis: Realignment Routine Explained with Skeletal Model
In this 3rd video on The Meeks Method® for the Management of Osteoporosis, Sara Meeks presents a short discussion on the first exercise with which she begins the exercise routines for her patients. Lying supine (on the back) in this gravity-eliminated position with the hips and knees bent, feet flat on the supporting surface isolates the vertebral column from the pulls of the muscles of the lower extremities. This positioning allows the spine to relax and lengthen into its optimal alignment with the curves of the back as intact as possible with any given patient.
