I purchased the Bob & Brad massage chair to help with the general “getting older” aches and pains—some days it’s my lower back, other days it’s my shoulders. I first tried a similar chair at a gym, but this one blows that one out of the water. And I don’t have to sit in a chair right after someone I don’t know!

You’ll want a partner to help get it out of the box, but after that, setup is easy. Pro tip: Lift the seat cushion and you’ll see the remote connection right underneath—Brad points this out in the setup video.

The variety of massage programs is incredible. I haven’t tried them all yet, but everything I’ve used has been fantastic. Each program has its own feel and intensity, whether I want deep work on my back, a gentle unwind at the end of the day, or the surprisingly great stretching routines. One of the biggest surprises has been the foot massage. The rolling + compression combo is strong in a therapeutic, not painful, way. Pro tip: Spend a few minutes exploring the menus.
